How to add/edit a Brand

You can add a new Brand in a variety of ways, you can choose the most suitable.

 

1. Via the Storefront Admin menu, look for the Quick Lanch icon next to Products, hover and select from submenu
This is an easy way to add a new Brand from anywhere in your Storefront Admin

2. Via the Brands list

Storefront Admin > Products > Brands

Look for the "New Brand" button

To edit a Brand, click the Brand name, or "edit" link next to relevant Brand brandadd2.jpg

1. Brand info tab

Select Brand info tab

 

2. Brand Name 

Enter Brand Name 

 

3. Brand Status

Use this setting to control the Storefront status of the Brand 
When setting is ON, Brand (and associated Products) will be displayed in your storefront
When setting is OFF, Brand (and associated Products) product will not be displayed in your storefront

 

4. Show in Filter

Use this setting to control the display of the Brand in Category filters

When setting is ON, Brand displayed in Filter by Brand are on category pages
When setting is OFF, Brand not displayed Filter by Brand area on category pages

 

Add Brand images

1. Images tab

Select Images tab

 

2. Add Brand Image

Click to browse your local hard drive for a Brand image to appear at the top of the relevant Brand page
Talk to your Project Manager about specific sizes for this Brand image
It must be sized correctly otherwise may "knock" out the design

 

3. Delete Brand image

Click to delete Brand image

 

4. Add Brand logo

Click to browse your local hard drive for a Brand logo to appear on the Product page in the Brand area
Talk to your Project Manager about specific sizes for this Brand logo
It must be sized correctly otherwise may "knock" out the design

 

5. Delete Brand logo

Click to the delete Brand logo

 

Tweak Brand SEO Settings

 

Your Storefront automatically produces page meta data based on the Brand name, description and a number of other factors

So by having a keyword rich description (where possible) you shouldnt need to tweak these settings

To tweak further beyond the standard automation, follow the steps below

1. SEO Tab

Click SEO tab

 

2. Page Title

Enter a keyword rich Page Title for the Brand (recommended 7-10 words)

 

2. Meta Description

Enter a keyword rich description of the Brand (recommended 30 words)

 

3. Meta Keywords

Its debatable these are used anymore by Search Engines to rank pages, but we have included for completeness sake. Google for example has come out and said that they dont use Meta Keywords
